When it comes to dealing with organisations, who suffer prejudice. Especially, around blackness, history, and having equal treatment. Alot of organisations, have a lack of understanding. And are very prejudice and Can be quite institutional racism. And be judgemental
on your race, before you even open your mouth. Things that are basic in the black race, they see it as you being difficult, that there is some mental health problem..example they do not understand black hair type/styles, and that you are being difficult, something
is wrong with you, and that you are seeking special treatment, for even mentioning this and that certain hair products are needed. With situations like these and many others, an advocate is needed as you find you are persecuted in a serious manner otherwise.
Even to serious levels, reported to police and social services. For living being black. I never knew before a place like Safe Alternative exsisted. It was from fighting organisations myself because of their prejudice behaviour, and seeking if anyone out their
had experienced the same. Safe Alternative has been a true blessing!!!!. And in dealing with organisations, especially when you are black it is best to have an advocate like Safe Alternative!! as organisations are not shy to tell lies on you, and hide their
 behaviour and treatment of you

We have to come together, because our commuinty is too devided, and support each other. We need to wake up. And it is really important we know our history, who we really are, and where we come from. Then everything would be more understandible in how we as
black people are treated in the first place

What a great and well needed service in Nottingham. Its very rare to be able to get advice and help for parents, teenagers and early years at the same place. The mentoring service is invaluable.

Attention to detail. Alex saw my child would benefit from community encouragement and praise and his did exactly that.
How to improve:
An Instagram page dedicated solely and specifically for children using social media. This would be a way to share constant and regular encouragemnt for the youth in the community and further out. Sharing positive messages, activities and events for youth and
families to see on social media that can help drown out some of the unnecessary things they see that can influence them negativley.
